This is my original oil painting of sunflowers in a colorful abstract garden.
I painted this floral scene in my style of intense impressionism, using bright colors, expressive brushstrokes and rich texture.
In this painting, I wanted the sunflowers to remain recognizable while letting the garden around them become much more abstract. Some flowers are clearly defined, while others begin to dissolve into the surrounding colors and shapes. Yellow sunflowers move across the canvas among blues, turquoise, greens, pinks and violet tones, creating a garden that exists somewhere between a real landscape and abstraction.
I worked freely with the paint, sometimes building the flowers with a palette knife and sometimes letting individual strokes become part of the abstract background. There are no precise boundaries between many of the flowers, leaves and surrounding garden. They connect through color and texture, while the large sunflowers still remain the main focus of the painting.
This is a one-of-a-kind original painting, not a print or reproduction. I painted it by hand with oil paints on canvas and signed it on both the front and back.
The canvas is stretched over a wooden stretcher frame, and the edges are painted. The painting is ready to hang and can be displayed as it is.
This original sunflower painting can appeal both to collectors and to those who want to bring more color, warmth and nature into their home. It is especially suitable for lovers of sunflower art, colorful floral paintings, abstract gardens, impressionist flowers, botanical art and textured wall art.
