Shipping & returns
Final details are still being completed on this page. For anything you need in the meantime, write to contact@myriyevskyy.com and I will answer personally.
In short
Every painting on this site is a one-of-a-kind original oil on canvas. There is only ever one of each, so every shipment is prepared individually: stretched on its wooden frame, insured and tracked from the studio to your wall.
This page explains how we ship, what it costs, and what happens if you change your mind or something goes wrong. If anything here is unclear, write to contact@myriyevskyy.com — it is our only contact channel, and it reaches us directly.
Sold by [COMPLETAR: nombre o razón social] · [COMPLETAR: NIF/CIF] · [COMPLETAR: domicilio postal completo]. We ship from Spain.
How we ship
Your painting travels the way it was made: stretched on its wooden frame, ready to hang. We never roll a canvas and we never ship prints or giclées.
- Gallery-standard packing, prepared for each piece individually [CONFIRMAR: descripción exacta del embalaje que se usa].
- The painting is signed on the front, signed and dated on the back, and travels with its personalised certificate of authenticity naming you as the owner.
- Every shipment is insured and tracked. The insurance is included in the flat shipping rate shown at checkout — there is nothing extra to pay for it.
- Orders to the United States travel by DHL Express. Within Europe we ship with Correos and the local postal services of the destination country.
We normally dispatch within [CONFIRMAR: plazo de envío habitual]. Transit time after that depends on the courier and the destination [CONFIRMAR: plazos de tránsito orientativos por zona]. In any case, and unless we agree something different with you, your painting will be delivered without undue delay and no later than 30 days from your order — that is the maximum the law allows us.
As soon as the painting leaves the studio we email you the tracking number, so please make sure the email address you give at checkout is one you actually read.
Until the painting is physically in your hands — or those of someone you asked to receive it — the risk of loss or damage in transit is ours, not yours.
Because there is no shopping cart on this site, each painting is bought and shipped individually — one painting, one order, one parcel.
What shipping costs
Shipping is a flat, insured rate chosen by destination country and shown to you at checkout before you pay. The rate you see there is the whole shipping cost; customs charges outside the EU are a separate matter, explained below.
- European Union and United Kingdom — free
- Rest of Europe — EUR 29
- United States — EUR 49
- Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia — EUR 59
- Rest of the world — EUR 68
We do not ship to Russia or Belarus.
Prices on the site are shown in EUR. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe on Stripe's own checkout pages (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay) — this site never sees or stores your card details.
Customs, duties and taxes
- Inside the European Union: no customs charges. The price you pay is the price.
- Outside the European Union (including the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia and everywhere else): your country may charge import duties, taxes or a customs handling fee. These are set by your own customs authority, they are not collected by us, and they are the buyer's responsibility. Rates and thresholds vary from country to country and we cannot tell you what yours will charge — please check with your local customs authority before ordering if this matters to you.
On tax on our side: [COMPLETAR: régimen de IVA — confirmar con el gestor]. The site does not currently state whether displayed prices include VAT, and no invoice or tax wording should be assumed until this is confirmed.
Changing your mind — paintings bought from the catalogue
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have 14 days from the day the painting is delivered to withdraw from the purchase without giving any reason. This is your legal right under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and, in the UK, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
How to withdraw: email contact@myriyevskyy.com and tell us clearly that you are withdrawing from the purchase. A plain email is enough. The deadline is met as long as you send your notice before the 14 days are up. We will acknowledge it by email and give you the return address ([COMPLETAR: domicilio postal completo]).
You may also use the model withdrawal form if you prefer, but you do not have to. It reads:
- To [COMPLETAR: nombre o razón social], [COMPLETAR: domicilio postal completo], contact@myriyevskyy.com:
- I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract of sale of the following painting: ……
- Ordered on / received on: ……
- Name of consumer: ……
- Address of consumer: ……
- Signature (only if this form is sent on paper): ……
- Date: ……
Sending the painting back:
- Please return it in its original condition and in its original packaging — the box and the internal protection are made for this painting and are the safest way to send it back.
- You have 14 days from telling us to send the painting back. Sending it within that window is enough.
- You arrange and pay for the return shipment, unless we agree otherwise with you in writing. We are telling you this before you buy, which is what allows us to pass this cost to you. Because a stretched canvas cannot go by ordinary post, expect courier costs of roughly [CONFIRMAR: coste estimado de la devolución — indicar una horquilla realista por zona].
- We strongly recommend a tracked and insured courier service, and please keep the proof of shipment: that proof is what starts the clock on your refund.
- If the painting comes back with damage caused by handling beyond what was needed to look at it, we may reduce the refund to reflect the loss in value.
Your refund: we refund you within 14 days of the painting arriving back with us, or of you showing us proof that you sent it back — whichever happens first. The refund goes back through Stripe to the same payment method you used. Since delivery to the EU and the UK is free, there is no outbound delivery charge to add back.
If you are buying from outside the EU or the UK, whether this 14-day right reaches you depends on the law governing your purchase and on your own national consumer law: [CONFIRMAR: política de devoluciones fuera de la UE/Reino Unido — decidir si se ofrece el mismo plazo de 14 días a todos los compradores y confirmar el alcance legal con el asesor]. Write to us and we will tell you exactly where you stand before you buy.
Commissions
A commission is a painting made to your specification — your subject, your size, your palette — and it can exist for no one else. For that reason commissions are excluded from the 14-day right of withdrawal. This is the standard exception in EU consumer law for goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised (Consumer Rights Directive, Article 16(c); the equivalent exception applies in the UK).
We would rather say that plainly than surprise you later. In practice it means: once the brushes are moving on a piece made for you, the order cannot simply be cancelled for a change of mind. Commissions are arranged by email, so the subject, size, price, stages and timing are all agreed with you in writing before anything starts — and if a finished commission arrives damaged or is not what was agreed, everything below still applies, as do your statutory rights.
If the painting arrives damaged
It is rare, but couriers do drop boxes. Every shipment we send is insured, and until the painting reaches you the transit risk is ours — so a damaged delivery is our problem to solve, not yours to absorb.
- If the box arrives visibly damaged, refuse the delivery, or note the damage on the courier's paperwork before you sign. That note is what makes an insurance claim straightforward.
- Photograph the packaging before you open it, then photograph the painting itself.
- Email contact@myriyevskyy.com with those photos within [CONFIRMAR: plazo, sugerido 48–72 horas] of delivery. If you miss that window, write to us anyway — it does not take away your statutory rights.
Then we sort it out with you. Depending on what happened, the remedy is a repair by a professional restorer arranged at our cost, a replacement where one is genuinely possible, or a full refund. Be aware that a unique original cannot be replaced with an identical copy — there is no second one — so for serious damage to a catalogue painting the honest remedy is usually a full refund. For a commission, painting it again is sometimes possible and we will discuss that with you.
If a parcel is late or goes missing
Every shipment is tracked and insured, so nothing simply vanishes without a trail.
- First, check the tracking number we emailed you, and check whether the courier left the parcel with a neighbour or at a pickup point.
- Outside the EU, a parcel sitting still for days is often waiting on customs clearance rather than lost — the courier will usually contact you if they need something.
- If tracking has not moved or delivery is clearly overdue, email contact@myriyevskyy.com with your order details and we will open a trace with the courier and follow it up on your behalf.
- If the shipment is confirmed lost, we claim on the insurance and you get a full refund — you are not asked to wait for the insurer to pay us first. A shipment is treated as lost after [CONFIRMAR: plazo tras el cual el envío se considera perdido — sugerido 20 días hábiles desde el despacho].
Your statutory rights
Nothing on this page limits or replaces the rights the law gives you. If a painting is not as described, is faulty or is damaged when it reaches you, your legal remedies as a consumer apply in full, whatever this page says, and they are in addition to anything we offer voluntarily.
Under Spanish law the legal guarantee of conformity for goods runs for three years from delivery; if you buy from the UK or another EU country your national rules apply and may differ [COMPLETAR: confirmar la redacción de la garantía legal y la ley aplicable con el asesor].
If something goes wrong, write to contact@myriyevskyy.com first — we would much rather fix it directly. If we cannot agree, [COMPLETAR: vía de reclamación extrajudicial — hojas de reclamaciones, arbitraje de consumo u otra; confirmar con el asesor].
This page describes how we work; it is not legal advice. Questions of any kind: contact@myriyevskyy.com.
