Meditation by the Waterfall Light

In this painting, I depicted meditation.

Clear light filters through the trees and rocks, revealing a hidden space around the waterfall. The scene is reminiscent of a Shaolin film — everything here seems created for reflection. The small figure of a meditating monk at the foot of the waterfall forms the focal point of the composition within the landscape.

The painting was created using palette knife texture and a layered brushwork technique that emphasizes the movement of falling water over the rocks and the depth of the surrounding greenery. The surface subtly changes under daylight, revealing smooth color transitions in the foliage and water.

This is an original oil painting on stretched canvas, completely hand-painted, signed on the front, and signed and dated on the back. The painting is ready to hang and would be a beautiful addition to a living room, study, or reading nook.
